Intended learning outcomes

After the course the student should

  • have deep knowledge about, and be able to describe and discuss relevant models and theories about the organisation and management of different kinds of industrial projects: development, organisational change and construction.
  • understand the meaning and consequences of different project leadership styles and necessary qualifications for a project manager
  • understand the meaning and consequences of suitable project methods and project models
  • have gained insights in how to lead projects and being led in projects.

Course content

Personal effectiveness and efficiency. Project planning. Research on industrial project management. The project manager’s role. Different types of projects and project control

Teaching and working methods

The course comprises of lectures and seminars, as well as application of project methods in assignments.
The course runs over the entire autumn semester.
