Entry requirements

For admission to the course the students shall have documented knowledge of English equivalent to “Engelska B”, or an international proficiency test, e.g. TOEFL, minimum score 550/213, and at least one year of full-time undergraduate studies.

Intended learning outcomes

Having completed the course, the student should be able to
- use knowledge about the economic analysis of law,
- apply the economic analysis of law to relevant problems.

Course content

The course covers the following subjects:
- Introduction to the economic analysis of law (Law and Economics)
- Property rights
- Contract law
- Tort law
- Corporate law
- Antitrust legislation
- Regulation
- Environmental law and policy
- Criminal law

Teaching and working methods

The course is internet-based. Teaching consists of set of questions that the student shall answer individually and/or collectively. The language of the course is English.

Examination

Examination consists of answering the set of questions, and of an individual paper at the end of the course.

Grades

Three-grade scale, U, G, VG

Other information

Planning and implementation of a course must take its starting point in the wording of the syllabus.
