For admission to the course, the specific entry regulations that apply for admission to the master's education in Cognitive Science must be satisfied.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of the course, the student should be able to
- identify, choose, delimit and analyse a cognitive science issue.
Course content
Individually adapted. The course covers current research in a profiling area, for example development of technical artefacts, language engineering or studies of behaviour in complex systems. The course is given in close relation to an ongoing cognitive science research project.
Teaching and working methods
The student works independently under the supervision of a researcher in the profiling area that the student has chosen to specialise in. The degree project includes, e.g., computer modelling, simulation, empirical studies or development of technical artefacts. The student is also expected to study independently, individually or in groups.
Examination
The course is examined through a written report. Detailed information can be found in the study guide.
Students failing an exam covering either the entire course or part of the course twice are entitled to have a new examiner appointed for the reexamination.
Students who have passed an examination may not retake it in order to improve their grades.
