Course content

: Part A (compulsory): Descriptive statistics, searching on databases, elementary probability models for random variables, statistical inference comprising significance testing and interval estimation. Part B (optional): Simple and multiple linear regression, index numbers, demand analysis, classical descriptive time series analysis with methods for decomposition and prediction. Part C (optional): Survey methods. Part D (optional): Curve fitting, introductory analysis of variance, non-parametric methods,
Each part uses standard statistical computer packages. Besides Part A one more part is chosen by the student
