Intended learning outcomes

On completion of the course, the student should be able to:
- account for the structure of Swedish law, the creation and application of the legal rules and the legal sources
- account for central property law, corporate law and labour law.

Course content

The course begins with an overview of the systematics and legal sources of Swedish law, as well as how legal rules are created and implemented. Also studied are the central parts of property law, for example agreements in general, purchase of goods and services, both between traders and between consumers and traders as well as creditor relationships. The course then includes studies of leasing of both real and personal property, lease (with emphasis on other types of lease than agricultural tenancy), intellectual property rights and law of damages, the relation between employer and employee and rules about different forms of companies.

Teaching and working methods

The teaching takes the form of lectures and exercises. In connection with the teaching, compulsory written assignments may occur. The students should also study independently.

Examination

The course is examined through a written independent examination. If compulsory written assignments occur, these are included in the examination.

Three-grade scale, U, G, VG
