Course description

This course introduces theories, methodologies, and main concepts with a focus on intersectional knowledge production and communicative practices. The course will investigate and analyse cases in which social representation and power relations affect the interlocking systems of sex/gender,
race/ethnicity, dis/ability, age, class, and other categories. The course offers selected key texts in transnational and intersectional feminist studies, politics, and those relevant to current debates taking place among researchers in the field. The teaching, seminars, and workshop will take place online, with the exception of a mandatory week-long meeting at the Linköping University campus in the beginning of the term.

The overall course is composed by the following four courses:

Introduction to Intersectional Gender in a Transnational World, 7,5 credits
Applying Intersectionality, 7,5 credits

Past, present, and future in feminst intersectionality, 7,5 credits
Intersectional practices,7,5 credits
