Intended learning outcomes

After completion of the two courses in botany the student have acquired an over all view of structure and function in plants by studies of the structure, systematics, plant evolution and physiology of plants. The courses deals with the classical botanical disciplines.

Course content

This course includes the most important photosynthesizing groups in the Kingdom Plantae, including their evolution. The course deals with anatomy of plants linked to the function of the different systems. Also plant growth and development, transport of water and nutrients is treated.
