Course description

Do you want to know how the Chinese writing system works and how it’s used in a modern, digital society?

Chinese is the oldest writing system still in use, and this course will teach you about its origins and how it’s used to communicate in modern China. The course focuses on communicative ability, especially as applied to a professional context.

The course is taught online through lessons, as well as guided self-studying. For a complete solution for beginners, you should also apply for Chinese for Professional Purposes 1A - Beginner Course in Oral Proficiency.

Participation in this course requires a computer with internet access, a microphone and a camera. Interaction between teacher and students takes place on an online learning platform.
