Entry requirements
General entry requirements apply for admission to the course, and the student should also be admitted to the Psychologist Programme and satisfy the requirements for the existing threshold rules.Intended learning outcomes
On completion of the course, the student should be able to:
- account for, analyse and critically review central concepts, theoretical perspectives and empirical findings concerning physical and psychosocial working environment factors that have importance for health, and how these factors interact to develop healthy working environments
- account for, analyse and critically review methods for promoting health, and preventing and remedying health deficiencies in the working environment.
Course content
The course covers both physical and psychosocial working environment factors that have importance for health and healthy working environments, and how these factors can interact to develop healthy working environments. Methods that may promote health, as well as prevent and remedy health deficiencies in the working environment are also highlighted.
Teaching and working methods
A large part of the course is devoted to tutorial group work. The teaching/working methods in other respects are in the form of lectures, and practical exercises and field exercises. In addition to this, the student should study independently, individually and/or in groups.
Examination
Written examination, and completion and presentation (oral and written) of compulsory practical exercises and field exercises. Active participation in the tutorial group work is also required. Detailed information can be found in the study guide.
Students who have twice failed in the course or part of the course have the right to request another examiner at re-examination.
