Course content
The clinical training is based on scholarship and best practice. The supervision is specific to the school and based on the current knowledge situation. To avoid excluding important knowledge of other specialisations, a clinical seminar series is given in parallel with the client work for the duration of three semesters. Both the supervision and the clinical seminar series are begin with basic skills and advance to more specialised skills. The course covers evidence-based psychological treatment models and principles and provides an orientation in therapy specialisations that have been examined empirically, to a lesser extent. The student is given the opportunity to specialise in a chosen specialisation, but is also expected to participate in the entire seminar series.
Teaching and working methods
The teaching takes the form of supervised client work, which is divided into two main specialisations and a continuous seminar series. The students should also study independently.
Examination
The supervised client work is examined each semester. The continuous seminar series is also examined each semester with a written examination. Detailed information can be found in the study guide.
Students failing an exam covering either the entire course or part of the course twice are entitled to have a new examiner appointed for the reexamination.
Students who have passed an examination may not retake it in order to improve their grades.
